You'll learn the gear and the skills to snorkel safely and build confidence in the water. You don't need to be a strong swimmer, just comfortable in the water. SSI sets no minimum age.
SSI's program has 6 academic sessions you can study online at your own pace and 1 pool session, about 2 to 3 hours. You finish with the SSI Snorkel Diver recognition card.
